We were taught never to do the "Victory Dance" inside the radar van after fixing something that was broke. You know...being all excited and stuff. We had to go outside the van to celebrate. Actually saw a SNCO do the dance with I was a dragonfly in the early 90s.

SCPO (Join to see)
Walking and talking was formerly not authorized and has been recently specifically allowed to do so. A lot of people are not aware of this change though.

SCPO (Join to see) When was this changed? As far as I'm tracking it is a DOD Policy. All military personnel and even DOD civilians have to abide by it.

In the Army, AR 670-1 (para 3-6) forbids hands in pockets except briefly to retrieve (place?) an item.

CPO (Join to see)
Navy authorized it around 2006ish. A lot of the older guys (such as myself) still get onto Sailors about it.

Where does it say in the regulation that you can’t call the general by his first name?

Fill in from the front.
You must carry a copy of your profile.
Stand at the position when some says " Attention to orders".

I remember guys saying "it's not in the regulation or policy" but the command said via an order that you will do certain things or else

With the Marines: "Black Flag PT restrictions only apply if you can actually see the flag."
Also: "High and Tight haircuts are only for enlisted members - not officers."
And has anyone mentioned: "Officers don't get/have tattoos."
One I think ought to be written down (as I always had to remind myself): '"You're never as funny or as clever as your juniors/subordinates make you feel."
