Senate rejects benefit extension for same sex couples. Guess gay vets don't bleed red. What are your thoughts?

While I agree that Federal benefits should be extended to all eligible persons, regardless of the state they live in. While true that it could cost them a few votes in the future, I assume they just voted their true opinions and those of their constituents, not just pandering to the liberal media like Democrats do so well. It is not really a "benefit" issue, so much as it is a comment on the whole topic of gay marriage, which, in my opinion, is immoral and unnatural.

Funny you should say that because I just posted in another discussion almost to your exact words that elected officials should vote their conscious and the will of their constituents. Perfect timing. This and related topics on gender identification are very sharp double edge swords.

PS: I never down vote. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, that's why we wore the uniform.
