With the E-8 board about to convene for the Army I believe this is a beneficial topic for everyone to include those that are preparing their records for the E-7 board and subsequent boards in the following years.

If you are slotted in a duty position that is above your current grade and have performed exemplary in that position for greater than 5 months. Should you, as the rated individual, request a complete the record evaluation to show your competency level in that position to increase your chances of getting selected?

Hell yes! You want the board to see what you have been doing(as long as its good). The only time a complete the record NCOER is warranted or authorized is for a promotion board. If not it would have to wait for a COR or Annual.

I agree as well. I was hoping the conversation was going to gain more traction for others to see the benefits and when it is warranted. Greatly appreciate the input.
