What advice do you have for a 15T going on a short-notice deployment to Kuwait? What should I expect for internet service and electronics?

Can someone who has deployed in the last five years give me an idea of what Internet service providers there are and what it cost? Is it unlimited data? Also what kind of general advice do you have outside of it’s hot sandy and take sunscreen. Does anyone know what personal items I can take such as laptop iPhone iPad etc? Will I need power adapter/converter? I am told we will be in 2 man rooms. Just wondering what your experience was as a 15T. I will be in the Delta Maintenance company.

There are no internet providers per se. What you will need to get is a mobile hot spot...affectionately known as a PUCK over in Kuwait. The rates are pricey. You can pay for a day, a week, or 30 days. You buy the data then activate it. You can bring your personal devices. You will just need to get a power adapter when you get there as the plugs in Kuwait are different.
Just bring the basics with you since everything else you will/could need are available over there.
Oh. As Preventive Medicine, I want to tell you to LEAVE THE ANIMALS ALONE. Don't feed them. Don't pet them. Stay away from them. They are feral. Do not risk getting scratched and/or bit and possibly contract rabies that becomes 98% fatal once symptoms start showing in you.

As an add to this, the contractors can usually help you get a "puck" plan a lot better than on post. I used Zain with a Huawei hotspot. [There's Facebook groups for yard sales, my unit made one for Taji. But be careful, some of the vetting of members is subpar since admin rights are passed from group to group and there's definitely Social Engineering going on in there so remember OPSEC.]
Pre-plan to get some sort of VPN to protect your data in case you go forward elsewhere. And get a Google # for anyone back home that doesn't know how to use video calls. [As well as making taking care of personal business calls easier.]
Also, there's a DSN # for making calls for banking etc back home, but I can't remember it.
And like SFC here said, please don't pet the animals. They went on a cat beheading spree because some knucklehead couldn't keep their hands to themselves. Most of those cats keep the things you don't want near the hangar away from you and they're vetted by the post.

There are several providers for internet. If your room is hard wired for internet you can get unlimited data depending on the speed. If not most people use pucks that use cellular service. Where you live will determine what internet works where you are.
There is a decent PX on Arifjan and you will be able to get whatever you need there. Best of luck.

First off OPSEC when you post on RallyPoint or any ofther website. Don’t need to blast out when you are leaving. You can take your personal devices with you. Your laptop and iPhone power plug already converts 110v to 220v. You will just need a different plug
