Nope. Serving in Vietnam was an incredible hardship. Veteran can be applied to the guys who hid from the war in the reserves or guard. Vietnam vet is a badge of honor. Wear it proudly.

No, they can have it both ways. No single group was vilified as they were during and after the VN WAR. I respect all combat vets, but these guys took in in the *** for the nation and received spit and insults. JMHO from a Viet Nam ERA vet.

Yes and no. I think every veteran should just be called a veteran. However every war will have veterans who associate more with each other than the veterans of other wars. I don't see in any harm in being a veteran and being a member of a group of Vietnam veterans.
