Think objectively. Traditions, camaraderie aside. Both are somewhat similarly more combat-oriented than USN or USAF. Answer practically without putting down either one of them.
PS: Yes, some are taunting about USN and USAF consolidation or Air Force return to Army Air Corps. My take on that if it's practical, lessen bureaucracy, and make for a smoother communications pipeline amongst the DoD components, why not? Again, camaraderie and traditions aside for a min.

SGT (Join to see) The way I remember it - is that it takes 4-5 army guys to do the job of 1 Marine. Not just generally speaking, but actual MOS at times. My Corps trains men to get shit done in the worst case scenarios. Your army does not. The army is nothing but a huge company with many, many people. Don't get me wrong, there are some people in the army now and army vets that have my respect for their actions and viewpoints. But to ever think for one second that an army guy trumps any Marine...well now, that's just pure ignorance. You have a nice day now, ya hear.

Answer practically without putting down either one of them? Fuck you, Fuck no. If any of you want to "consolidate", you can join my Corps. Carry on.

I agree with your sentiment, and even I think you're being an ass about it. It's a good question, though one with an easy answer.
