Uh neither, you have the opportunity to be a trailblazer! 11B...you can do it!! JK, I have actually worked closely with both MOS' and like the independence and maturity of the 35L. Both are exceptional intel professionals that are value added to the force. Good luck with your choice!!

Obviously I am biased, but I can tell you that a CI agents job can be extremely diverse. You may be doing liaison on one unit, CI collection at another, and then get assigned to Field Office in plain clothes doing primarily investigations and TARP briefings. I will say that 35Ls and 35Ms often do a very similar job in regards to collection operations (both 35L and 35M utilize HUMINT tradecraft to conduct versions of source operations). However, 35L's also have a very large investigative role as well (35M's have no investigative authority). So just ask yourself this: Do you want to just focus on HUMINT Collection, or do you want to be a Special Agent? :)
