I've had many problems trying to get back in uniform (fiscal year changes, promotion boards, record corrections, false medical problems, WEATHER…yes, weather.)

I am considering resigning commission, before I am discharged, Sep 2017. Any ramifications?

Asked local senator--over a couple years--with little help. Currently, asking AFPC about such options.

Desperately want to keep military benefits!!

I've heard it's possible for an officer to switch to warrant, is that something you can explore Sir?

Outstanding, PV2 Benjamin. It crossed my mind as a possibility, a while ago; but I forgot to check it out--thank you!

Have you considered moving to another branch as a potential option? If you're looking at the Guard the respective states usually have postings on their websites of part time and full time positions available.

Awaiting thoughts from Army Reserves; they are not clear if it is a good option, since I have a gap in service. Just called Navy about active duty and Reserves, at the call center; awaiting on recruiter to follow up.

Thank you for insight. I'll check state Guard options; I did have an assignment in Missori, until I had a false blood sugar...and that snagged an administrative deadline...and awaiting a subsequent 1.5 year record correction process......but, still plugging!!!

Capt. Sir if the benefits you want to keep you have to do the time. I have no idea how long you have to reach the 20 mark but it could be very well worth it. That is my only advise, the other will have to come from someone else. But Good Luck Sir.

I thank you Master Sergeant. AGREED! I am not having much luck solving this puzzle myself!
