Some past presidents have suggested they may not attend. H.W. gave health as a reason, he is 92. But what about others. Carter RSVP'ed.

Some of our former presidents exhibit a lack of respect for the office they once held. Will be disdappointed in GW Bush (as a veteran ) if he does not attend.

I think they should all stay home. GW Bush showed no respect for president elect Trump even after the election. Best that former presidents day former.

Well the problem is R E S P E C T. It is like a thing of the past. It's dangerous anywhere you go especially the highway. People are out of control and for what reason ? Most have never had it so good and certainly would not have it better anywhere else.

I think it would be a Super patriotic gesture for HW to be there along with First Lady Barbara Bush. Anything else just would not be prudent.

HW, with this health problems, would not be prudent to go. Especially if the weather is the typically cold, wet and crappy DC Januarys....

Well, actually you're right. Wet, cold days plus other sick people around. Could be very dangerous. I'm sick with some kind of virus right now myself. Be safe President Bush and stay in Texas. We want to keep you as long as possible.

They should attend, if at all possible. It's about the office, which should be respected. They should set aside their indifferences, and act in a civilized manner for a change.

The democrats no longer do things that are civilized or anything to do with "manners."
