Hello no. If the media wasn't such fake. BIASED reporters and went back to journalistic integrity. He would not have to tweet So much. But as it is it is the true facts getting out that the media keeps trying to whitewash

If he has to close his account then everyone else should expect twitter to close their doors as it would only be fair...

No! While some comments may be or seem to be caustic, it is refreshing to have a President who is not afraid to be open about his personal feelings concerning different situations and issues. The pool of "PC" responses that we have endured for the past 25+ years almost had us drowning.

Why, the Bill of Rights applies too him. Besides it drives the media crazy. I love it.

It's a nonsecure outlet, easily hacked. Him using it makes it easier for people to Target him, it's unprofessional. Aside from that him being on there constantly whining about anyone saying anything about him makes us a laughingstock. He should aspire to his job, not turn his job into a way to whine about what people say about him. Like a real man would. Trump sucks, Obama sucked. We need to choose better for our president in the next election, someone who takes the job seriously instead of caring how anyone sees him. And I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate for my opinion, and I really don't care what any of you think.

The President has the right to communicate with us as he sees fit. He didn't have the right to restrict access to public tweets it to delete them, however. The Presidential Records Act makes it clear that any attempt to do anything but make every message viewable by every citizen is illegal, however. As long as Trump is complying with the law, he can say whatever he wants. The key there is that he'd still be operating within the law. When his comments verge into slander/libel, however, I don't think he should have any immunity. I can't get away with making untrue accusations, and the factually inaccurate tweets should likewise be banned, even for the President.

I live for his tweets, although as we all know some of them I really outrageous, but I think that's part of his plan and it sure beats having Hillary as our POTUS!

I feel by his direct Tweets he keeps us informed. I prefer his facts over distorted media, Hollywood, and un_patriotic Politicians spin.
I questioned the ethics of Politicians (on the Floor) making false statements. Adding they should be required to correct their comments.
The answer I received told the story. They are protected by the 1st amendment and the floor does not have "fact checkers". They rely on media, which is a joke. It is like them making Political Speeches, they can say what they want and it is up to us the voter to see if they follow_through on their words. "Like" if you like your Dr you can keep your Dr. Benghazi was due to a Video, And so many others it is not worth mentioning.
This election people wanted change and through President Trump they are seeing "positive" changes. Our Military, our VA (HR 299 sit for 43 yrs & POTUS made one phone call and it was passed in a few weeks), Tax Reform, Health Care Reform, handling ISIS, respect from countries around the globe and shining a light on media corruption.. not mixing words, while others would prefer Presidential words. What is more Presidential than putting America 1st.
I may sound Political, which I am not, I am a Patriot who loves our Country, and I will defend those who serve and defend America.
Currently we are working on getting the Table used by the VA for Combining Service Connect Disabilities.. abolished. read more "facts" you will not hear from politicians, or media because it is facts.. and they don't want you to know onlyusa.us

I voted no, however, there are conditions. The feed should be fully archieved, he shouldn't be able to delete posts and anybody should be able to comment. Think of it like a traditional press release. Once it was out, it was out. Anybody could release a rebuttal and they are saved by the national archives. Just because the medium is new and POTUS tends to shoot his mouth off without thinking, doesn't mean the rules change.

The reason the rules should be different for POTUS is simple, he is POTUS. All the rules are different for him. Every communication is archived for posterity, good or bad; ask Nixon about his tapes, all of his action are scrutinized. Twitter should be no different. If the President doesn't want to learn to constrain his thoughts and his mouth, he shouldn't use a platform that allows him to do whatever he wants. The courts are even headed this way, though on appeal, the circuit Court has already ruled Trump can't ban dissenter, just like in the real world, and as it should be. You know, 1st amendment. To me anything POTUS does, paper or digital, should be archived for all time whether good or bad.

No that isn't what I am saying. I am saying he can say whatever he likes, but unlike an ordinary citizen there is an historical context to everything he does. As long as everything is archived, and he doesn't suppress others first amendment rights, he can say anything he wants. The problem is he is trying to actively avoid both. He doesn't want to archive things, which is actually legally required, and he wants to remove and control anyone who does agree with him, violating their first amendment rights. Neither is appropriate of a President. No muzzles or anything, if he wants to make idiotic comments he should feel free, he just has to live up to his greater responsibilities as President, just like EVERY PRESIDENY BEFORE HIM.
