Lol. Many times I've heard the comment that " it's not presidential". What does that mean. He doesn't act like a politician. From my much younger years I have heard many many times the word politician used with a negative slant. The public has had a bad taste from politicians for more years than I have been alive, and I'm not that young anymore. Since the earliest of times politicians have been lying to and stealing from the people of this country. They haven't had the people's best interest in mind but rather their own interests. Well, thank goodness, finally we have a president who isn't presidential! Who isn't a typical politician. Who does have the people's interests in mind. And who wants to stay connected to the people bad enough that he still has rally's and tweets and says what is on his mind instead of worrying about being politically correct.

In my opinion, we are witnessing the most concerted attack on our institutions protecting our democracy/republic from undermining political comity to trite but propaganda laden comments such as "fake news" which is one of the most destructive & most used. It began the moment this president announced his candidacy on his escalator with signals clearly given to those with bigoted views of other people. It has continued with signals to physically attack others with differing political views.
Any of us normal users of Twitter would have been banned for tweeting violence-laden videos, etc. We have had a presidential candidate who served as the putative political operative for the Russian intelligence attack on our democracy. Allowing him to have this platform only continues that attack.
Differences in opinion regarding policy issues are a normal & necessary part of a democracy. Actions that have threatened the national security of the United States are not.

Dumb. That’s all you get. Not worth wasting any intellectual capital refuting this idiotic screed.

Fortunately for you, because you cannot refute what he is saying. What he is saying has been verified, some of it by the Russians themselves.

Thanks goodness for Pres. Trump maintaining his Twitter account.
He has countered his own team in their "spin" so many times, his administration is laughable.
And his "late night tweets" keep us informed of what a self-absorbed PoS Pres. Donald Trump truly is.

No, it's the only way we know we are getting the truth. We cannot depend on the media. That has been proven time and time again. I don't care if he says things that are "offensive" to others. I'll deal with that any day, rather than being lied to daily.

When is OK to give up your first amendment right to free speech? I know as a Unite States Marine, that once I took an oath, that there are certain rights that are not afforded to me. Like while in uniform, my opinion on all matters concerning the Marine Corps or the military, should never be given. Every branch of service has spokes people that represent their particular branches. My opinion would just cloud the issues. And if you have read any of my comments, I am glad I kept my mos the shut, while in uniform. The more I think about it, I may take my own advice after this post. I like the fact that the President tweets. But I just wish He would think about all sides of the situation be for just blurting out an emotional response. He is the President of "All the People". But when in a position of authority, their will be those who will allow themselves to be offended. So to those who wish the President give up his free speech, you should lead by example and give up yours first.

President Trump needs his twitter account to counter the faulse news that always gets to us. He just needs to curb some of the stuff he says. We know many news organizations and their people are politicaaly moved one way or the other. His tweets are informative and important to getting the truth out to us voters.

I agree his tweets do get him into trouble. He could use some coaching in this area. He has a right to tweet as he chooses. His arguements agaist his enemies are for naught when he calls them dogs. We believe they are liers and will support him, just don't give his aponents ammunition.

OH HELL NO! besides, until we have a press core that isn't leaning to the left so much it's getting ready to fall on its face,(me thinks it already has) he should do whatever it takes to make his point. To be using twitter, is pretty sad, but if that is what it takes, then do it by all means!

Absolutely not! The sheer idiocy that leaves his mouth, if reported by the media, would simply be called a "liberal conspiracy", or fake news, or otherwise denied... His Twitter'pades ensure his lunacy is screenshot'ed and preserved for historical and evidential purposes...

Why? He won the election with it. He puts out unfiltered messages with it. People say it's not presidential.
Our former POTUS was out stumping for Hilary and talking like a stand up comedian while doing it.
As a matter of fact after his appearance on SNL ...A platform which has launched the careers of many comic actors..I thought what the hell? You don't even have a day job anymore...so you might as well try comedy...he's done an excellent audition for the last eight years.
It’s a completely rational career move.
