Should RallyPoint add an awards section to the profile for both military & civilian members?

Should RallyPoint Web designer consider adding a Section in the Profile for Military Awards for both military personnel and civilian personnel?
Do you think RP members will be honest for the most part and only add those they actually received?

Do you think some RP members will add awards they didn't actually receive?
(or)
Do you think there is no need for another "love me" section on the profile?

I honestly don't think it is necessary for those on here the common bond should be selfless service in defense of what we hold dear...our loved ones and service buddies. No need for additional shadow boxes or love me walls.

Somewhere over in the military discussions section there's a topic that invites RP members to post their racks. Haven't seen any of the obvious posers, valor thieves or inflators that people seem to be worried about. There's no requirement to post documentation for the racks. I've only seen two posts challenged, one for a CAB(2d Awd) that went unanswered and another regarding the number of campaign stars on a service ribbon that was answered. There are a number of responses of the "What's that green and yellow one right there by the NDSM?" variety that are also explained. It's all been pretty civil so far. So anecdotal experience shows such postings would be self policing.
To my mind assuming that posted information will be embellished and therefore must be verified in detail before posting is akin to those folks who believe we build highways to catch speeders.

Another way to show or display military fruit salad. One half or a dozen, some will show, some will not. But like some have said it could breed animosity towards others. Ask me and I'll tell...no biggy to me.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs I think it would be a nightmare for RP staff to check and verify each and every single award every user puts on their 'wall'. For that reason, I don't think it's feasible, unless the decision was made to take everyone at their word. The result of that is another discussion. Otherwise, I personally have no problem with it.

SN Greg Wright I agree it could result in some stolen valor, but I believe for the most part that most of our RP Members would be proefessional and keep it right! It would be a long and hard process to verify for the RP Staff - all good points!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - It could be done on a connection basis. I still feel that it could be a good way to connect with former colleagues with similar experience.
