Should the Army cave to this religious group's pressure or make a stand on keeping the "Crusaders" unit and not renaming it?

Personally I have had enough of these so called pressure groups. There is really nothing wrong with America but the wave of "political correctness" and wushification hitting us from the liberal progressive commie left. I feel it is time for the constitutional conservatives and Christians to stand up for our rights of free speech, religion and bear arms. What say you?

"Crusaders" were Christian "jihadists" so maybe it really is time to adapt.

SGT Norman Cillo - You think I dot want to stop their barbarianism? Female genital mutualism or the many other aggressions committed against women? I am open-minded but don't fucking piss me off. I have learned to mitigate my rage and anger. It is controlled and direct. I am not turning against my colleagues.

Col Rebecca Lorraine, the Crusades were a counter offensive against invasion with associated power struggles. The fact that the galvanizing force that mustered the troops (Pope Urban II), and the goal (regaining the Holy Land) is just a reminder that militant religion is an arm of politics, not true to the meaning of religion.
*Yes there were more Crusades

Our nation is obviously diverse. I echo your sentiment of unification, we each need to show compassion and mercy to our neighbors, near and far. Standing together for freedom and doing what is right for all. We also need to recognize that not everyone will be happy. We each need to find satisfaction in our own works, and stop depending upon our government for help. Get a job or two, work not worrying about what the other guy is doing. Don't steal for a living, don't even take home copy paper from work; instead, earn the money you need and work for real stuff that belongs to you!

I think that looking at the units crest with the cross shown make it religiously motivated. Since the crusades are kind of a black eye on Christian history it probably should be removed. I most definitely support separation state and church in all matters. So my opinion my be a little biased

As a historian by training and education...I do not see "the crusades as a black eye on Christian history" but simply an integral part of the fabric that makes up history of religious history. I see no give in Radical Islam as it has metastasized today and as a Christian nation which is tolerant of other faiths feel we should not bend or bow down to it base on some complaints.
