Yes, why would a veteran not be able to ask questions? Aren't we citizens just like everyone else?

The results of this is predictable. Who could not believe one of out Brother/sisters in arms that are willing to go into life threatening situations to defend our nation should not be heard. The issue is, as with our political process of a Representative government, who will be chosen to speak for us? We are a force of about 1.3 million and, as reflected, by those on RP, of many diverse opinions.

Absolutely. There should be no restrictions on what a Veteran can ask and from whom they can ask it. Every once and while, people disagree that retired flag officers should not go on news programs and criticize policies. I don't have an issue with that either but sometimes I wish they has spoken up earllier. But for Veterans, there is no reason they should feel limited in questions.

As citizens yes - but should vets have special access to candidates that the rest of the population don't have? That I'm not sure of...

Why are we so obsessed with veterans lately? We're getting as bad as vegans and crossfitters. Yes, they can ask questions. They're citizens (presumably, not all veterans are). Anyone can ask questions. What job they once held is irrelevant..

Yes, I was going to put a qualifier of 'as long as they are citizens' but then realized that this really did not matter because the elected REPRESENTATIVE needs to be ready to answer to 'We the People'.

Everyone should be allowed to and to some extent they are. With the huge role of social media and reaching out of campaigns there are more avenues than there ever were before to reach candidates. Should veterans (or active duty) have any more access than normal people? No.

Your chance is here though, remember on 28 September, Governor Jeb Bush is coming to Rally Point.
