Please do not comment if you are still serving in the Military in some capacity; a/o where potentially your job, livelihood, or position could be at risk.

It’s convenient for people to sit back and decide what FACTS of historical events should be taught, as to not offend “their” feelings … because of uncomfortableness and feeling offended.

Both the audacity and pride.

*** see her smiling as she looks at him hanging, that’s the same “look” the lie of calling FACTS {Critical Race Theory}.

That’s what “You Will Not Replace Us” actually looks like in action.

This conversation to deny FACTS for pride and lack of both respect and integrity.

There is no room for encouraging ANY race related 'education' in the Military. In the past, there has been adequate addressing of racial issues in addition to all the other civilian 'social issues'. The military is in existence for ONE thing - to protect the nation. The military is ALL volunteer, reasonably well paid, and not meant to be a testing ground for society's 'social cause of the day'.
In the past we have - as a group - weathered the misfortunes of radical societal issues. With the current administration the past policies have been tossed aside and now they attempt to mirror the military to THEIR idea of society. Most of the young people I know are not planning to reup at a time when countries like china are becoming a real threat. As we degrade OUR military with these issues, their superiority over us has increased several fold already due to this degradation. Those enemies are LAUGHING at us.

Yes we should teach CRT. We should also teach democracy, marxism, freudian psychology, post-modern philosophy, Austrian economics, etc. The important thing is that our military students learn how to think, not what to think. Teaching a particular theory or philosophy is completely different than declaring that particular philosophy as doctrine .

I would say they need to stay away from off post housing until they get on post housing up to code.

As long as it is “taught” rather than “indoctrinated”. Education is just that. Learning about something, not forced to agree with it. Besides, military leaders need to know what’s going on in society just like everyone else.

No decent German asks this kind of question. A Black friend posted this: For Wypipo whining: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/may/30/why-im-no-longer-talking-to-white-people-about-race

The idea behind CRT is that systematic racism is built into laws, certain critical systems, social institutions, courts, housing etc. This explains why racism can exist even still without race really being present. Some of the people who are against it, feel like they are being called the system or are directly being pointed at, which isn’t necessarily true. They are unable to separate the two and likely believe that the US is now an equitable Democracy, which many know and believe simply isn’t true. No one is saying that people living today are responsible for how their ancestors were in the past, but that they have a responsibility to do something about it now and not just ignore the inequities that still exist. We all see it in the news every day. Overt racism is almost easier to deal with than ambiguous racism since it’s a known fact. Ignorance cannot be an excuse, it’s been that way too long. If you bury it or allow it to not be talked about it doesn’t go away. Teaching, gives the future leaders tools and information to try to balance or right some of the injustices built into the systems of governance. Just my opinion.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal," The first line of the second paragraph of the US Declaration of Independence. I firmly believe that is all we should teach. Anything else just adds to unneeded divisions in our society, and our Country.
