I guess the president is calling for complete withdrawal by 2016. Whether well planned or political strategy, do you think it should be sooner, later, or indefinitely?

We shouldn't have even gone into Iraq. We should have just focused on the assholes that attacked us.

Middle Eastern countries have been in conflict for hundreds of years. Our 10+ year presence won't be anything other than a speed bump. While I would like to think that what we have done will have a beneficial and positive outcome, I fear that the reality will be continued turmoil and suffering whether we are there or not.

The suffering was already there before we came, whatever happens over there they have to rise or fall whichever way is on them.

Yes, we should pull completely out of Iraq and Afghanistan before this year 2014 ends, and any people from Iraq and Afghanistan here in the U.S with a passport or visa need to be deported. It is time to take care of our U.S. Armed Forces and the American citizens in our own country, use our own resources to create jobs and build with our label on it like it used to be "Made In America."

How can we abandon the Iraqi and Aghan nationals that have risked their lives and the lives of their families by helping us as interpreters? We owe it to them to bring them back to the US to start a new life.

Our presence there will change nothing so we may as well pull the fug out and stop wasting our time.

Nuke em! Scorched earth is the only way to stop them. No half way measures otherwise they will come back.

We never should have fully EVER LEFT bc the mission WAS NEVER COMPLETED. Just a political ploy. We didn't have any option. The people that made matters worse where those who lost their professionalism. Making it the soul reason why we failed our ultimate mission of winning the hearts and minds of the iraqi people! As for Afghanistan, I am not privileged to weather we should sill be there, as I wasn't ever deployed there so I'm unaware of the mission objective & never bothered to look.

We should pull out of both countries and let the indigenous peoples take care of their own. It's not hard to see they don't want our presence there and good luck getting a westernized way of living in those countries. Sometimes the best help is no help at all.
