Should we help the Ukraine by offering them warships from the National Defense Reserve Fleet?

Over the weekend, the Russians seized by Force three Ukrainian vessels including
2 warships. I propose that President Donald Trump help activate at least three warships and train the Ukrainian crew members to use those ships to defend against Russian aggression.
President Obama offered the Ukrainians laughable MREs and blankets. Recently, President Trump has given tow missiles and other lethal gear. both United States and Canada have at least a company sized element or large or training Ukrainians far away from the war zone. We should not allow Ukraine to become something like Czechoslovakia slowly gobbled up in 1938 by Germany because the West did nothing.
The fear of global warming/climate change to prepare you for the ultimate carbon taxes that Al Gore and the Kyoto Accords desire, the Russia investigation with Robert Mueller , and the efforts to win the hearts and minds of Americans with Hondurans and others trying barge into the USA through Tijuana should be noted. Even if President Trump doesn't think this is important, it actually is. What do you think RP? We should be focusing on what's going on in the Ukraine. People forget that the US government has imposed sanctions on Russia. Giving these ships to the Ukrainians after proper training will send a good message to Vladimir Putin. He thinks that this stunt will help his sagging ratings but I think 3 warships, even older ones, will make them think twice if we are there to back up the Ukrainian government.
Here's an example of a Perry class frigate that we could reactivate and give to the Ukrainians. I know this would cost a couple billion dollars but I would rather put two billion dollars into these destroyers than waste 2 billion dollars on stupid climate change that won't make a damn bit of difference since we are in between ice ages anyway but the Kyoto Accord doesn't factor in the element that humans are not responsible for global warming or climate change since climategate.

LTC (Join to see) I think that reactivating some mothballed warships would certainly give the world, and specifically Russia, that the United States backs a free Ukraine. but it that a statement that trump wants to make? would he gamble alienating putin like that? after all, he hasn't really shown me that he cares about the US above putin or the Saudis. I agree we need to defend those countries that are being bullied by other world powers. I agree that global warming is cyclical and we are simply between ice ages. I also believe that humans are at least partially responsible for the increase in global temperatures. but do we want to sacrifice the earth of future generations for something that may or may not happen?
another concern is how would we get the ships into the Black Sea? Would we transit through Turkey? I'm not familiar with the region at all.

Turkey would allow them to go into the Black Sea. The Black Sea it's pretty much open and Canadian American and NATO forces Patrol alongside Russian ships on occasions the Russians are jerks and they Buzz our NATO allies

LTC (Join to see) - does Turkey control all water entry to the Black Sea? it looks that way on a map to me

Well, I don't know a thing about ships other than they float on water. However, I do know that the Russian bear will keep taking whatever easy pickings there are. If we do not support Ukraine there will come a time when the nation is either part of the USSR again, or a satellite nation of the USSR. Yes, I said USSR because that is what Uncle Vlad is trying to recreate. Step up now or pay Bigly (my best Trumpism!) later.

We have at least a half a dozen of these Destroyers tied up at Pearl Harbor right now. 1 petty officer said that it would be best for President Trump's to you help out the ukrainians in other ways. He may be right because it would take at least 6 months to get these ships up to speeds while if we sent a bunch of tow missiles and maybe other ordinance that infantry can carry, they can do a lot of damage immediately. Just think if ukrainians all of a sudden had Stinger missiles? We should do a combined long-term solution to make the Russians pay. Right now, the three Baltic states are being protected by NATO. 450 Canadians are in Latvia. They rotate your lease and the Canadian XY that participated in called Maple resolve validates their troops.
I went last year as an observer controller trainer. I got picked up by a brigade going back this year and I will be on their Command Staff. We have over a thousand American troops most the Army Reserve and some National Guard Special Forces working along with about 5,000 active and Reserve Canadian military.

I lost my train of thought, I was trying to say that Russia could overrun our newest NATO allies in a couple days because they have a couple divisions right there. The Russians could invade the Ukraine and probably overrun them in a short order. There's at least a company + of American and Canadian soldiers there to train the ukrainians away from the fighting. We're trying to instill a noncommissioned officer Corps since they are ncos don't get used effectively under the Russian system. Vladimir Putin is pissed because the people protested the pro Soviet government during the Olympics and many Ukrainian Olympic team members went back home. The situation with the protests in Ukraine and the government leaving totally embarrassed and took the Thunder out of Vladimir Putin's Winter Olympics and he has a bone to pick and that's probably why he sabotaged Hillary Clinton's election a little bit even though Hillary Clinton did it to herself with her own server instead of the government server and with the shenanigans in Libya and her million dollar speeches.

LTC (Join to see) - Stinger maenads to a common foe against Russia? That sounds familiar. It also sounds a lot less expensive and effective than dumping a few boats on Ukraine when they have already proven they can't hold off the Russian navy anyway.

LTC (Join to see) - I am pretty sure that Putin did not sabotage Hillary's election. What Putin did was a classic divide and conquer tactic against the United States. The Russians were running online accounts that were against Bernie and for Bernie, against Hillary and for Hillary, and against Trump and for Trump. Their goal was to create mass division in the United States (not that they needed to) in order to have us consumed with politics locally so that we would throw a blind eye in his direction as he attempts to rebuild the USSR.
