Should we remove combat patches to be sensitive to those who don't have them?

"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get hurt feelings.
Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

Not all deployments or duty stations with hazardous duty yield a combat patch. Some combat patches just plain suck. I'm an Army vet, have been a VFW member since 1995 and I have no combat patch. Get over your butt hurt. Hell, only combat infantry get their combat badge, but there's a ton of grunts without one. Are they less of a soldier? No, butthurt is for entitled little b*tches, now get over yourself and get to work.

No, for this to happen even for a BDE CMDR to do so would be a violation of 670-1 which states the wearing of the Former Wartime Service Patch is at the leisure of the soldier and at their discretion to which one they wear that they have earned during combat time. The army has become so enthralled with ensuring no ones feelings are hurt they have nearly destroyed every sense of what the army is in the past decade. The army is so worried about PV2 Snuffy completing his 350-1 training that PV2 Snuffy doesn't even know his job because ACTUAL training takes a back burner to SHARP/EO/MRT classes.

Actually SSG (Join to see), that regulations is in place for those Soldiers who do not want to wear their combat patch. I know a few who have multiple deployments and don't even wear their airborne wings. And, there is a blanket caveat to 670-1 that justifies idiocy like this: "A Commander may add to but not take away from the Army standard". This means a CO or BC can order all their troops to be uniform for whatever reason.

The dipshit who came up with such an idea should be beaten, thrown in an overflowing port-a-shitter, then have said shitter flipped over.

Should we also remove the flag since it might offend someone?
I think everyone should take off rank. Cause anytime I see someone with more rank than me I feel bad.

I was at Fort Campbell for two and a half years and never once got to deploy with my BCT because I was in a BSB. I saw all these soldiers returning from deployment with their patches but I never once thought I was left out. I never got the opportunity to deploy, so be it. I'm not going to take away from someone else's pride because I was upset over not having a patch myself. They earned it, let them keep it.
