"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get ‪‎hurt feelings‬.

Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

So I cannot resist. MSG Wally Carmichael, I was allowed to wear Army unit combat patches in AFG. So, E1s and E2s should just stand by and wait their turn in the barrel in order to become like the rest of us.

The commander who ordered that combat patches be removed needs to be seriously looked at with regard to his/her suitability as a commander. This kind of 'leadership' is dangerous and will get people killed. I've already seen this elsewhere.

If you deploy you earn your patch and should wear it if a new private wants one he can get in harms way and earn one also

HELL NO

When Generals remove their rank because it makes me feel "uncomfortable" and less included
And when no one displays any awards higher than mine
While we are at it, it really irritates me when people are taller than me, or have bigger muscles. That makes me feel bad too
Oh and I want to come in first or at least tie in every foot race or ruck march or PT event regardless of how hard I try. I feel bad when I am not first and the most important.
Logical, right. :/

What a bunch of idiots! Wow! Should be an honor to serve next to those who was in combat! Sorry little whiners! Gtfoh! The military is such wusses nowadays! Fags, or belt, women with lighter packs, stress cards, no smoking what's next? How to knit and make flower arrangements a part of basic?

Give the E1's ad E2's something to look forward to. If you try to take my combat patch away, there will be trouble. I am proud of my patch and the unit I served with.

Would hope this isn't true, if so its ridiculous to ask someone that's earned the right to remove it to save hurt feelings. Are we really getting that soft

I may be back later to say More, but when I got in I looked up to the Vietnam era combat soldiers, that's all we had and they were thinning out quickly. The Storm soldiers returned and we looked up to them. As we move forward out new soldiers should admire these battle proven soldiers and look to them for guidence now get their panties in a wad because "I DONT HAVE ONE" we raised some spoiled brats " EVERYBODY GETS A TROPHY" bull shit. Earn it ! You can wear it!!! Simple! However you will find earning it isn't always that SIMPLE!! God Bless our Vets.

The Army doesn't need a Welcome Wagon to make new soldiers FEEL included. They need strong leadership and a mission to accomplish. Combat patches represent sacrifice, courage, esprit de corps and experience. Are they also planning on hiding other EARNED awards like Rangers, Airborne, Air Assault, Pathfinder, & etc? The newbies will receive their combat patches when they earn them! Ludicrous PC idea under a panty waist administration.
