"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get ‪‎hurt feelings‬.

Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

so? what is the Army going to cater to Politcal Correct ignorance? Maybe whoever is promoting this idea should also take his medals and stripes and wear a private's uniform to make sure these new recruits are also not offended.
combat patches, rank, medals, badges are eraned, often by givin up life, limbs and time with our families.

new soldiers need to be lead to look up to the veterans and earn all that goes on their uniform and records. We cannot cuddle and bend to the meritless snow flake society that is undermining our nation

Lol! I bet they do. These are the entitled kids we handed trophies to for being loosers in a football games. No one to blame but our generation.

I remember when I first got in, back in 97’. I looked in envy at those very few who had them. Looked up to them and respected them more. I looked at the Ranger, SF tabbed guys and thought, I want one too. The difference was, I knew I had to work for it and they don’t come easy.

The military isn't a liberal elementary school where every child receives a trophy for showing up. New guys are always new guys and they have to do the things they need to do by learning their duties, responsibilities, and expectations. You don't get recognition for what others have done and experienced. The whole thought is really stupid......I guess a lot of the new guys are non-hackers these days with unreasonable expectations. I fear for the Rebublic...

Might as well remove all your ribbons on you dress/service uniforms too, except for the ND and GWOT... What a joke.

If you earned it, wear it. Otherwise, how will the greenhorns know who to go to for advice and guidance on how the REAL world works?
