What she did is not acceptable.
Nor is this:
"Stone was unable to leave her house for a year, living in continual fear after receiving death and rape threats, "

I completely agree with what you said sir. But besides that, I think she deserved every bit of it just like anyone else who makes a complete fool of themselves while posting it for the world to see. The threats though? That's no better than anything she did, just immaturity.

Every action has consequences. I reported a government worker (GS-13) for sexually abusing one of my female managers. The outcome - I was escorted off base and then fired by my company. Every action has its consequences be they right or wrong. Both stories provide good lessons.

Brutally efficient sir, and hilarious... as a younger soldier, I admire your use of this meme and just a small amount of my coffee made it's way to my school shirt...

That was an unfortunate accident, I feel for the family but it was a bad situation. Today just getting out of your car is not authorized until safety people are on the scene.

People who show disrespect at such locations deserve to be punished.
I have seen several such situations in the news in recent months, most of which have simply been ignored.
I remember an incident in the mid-1970s, when I was stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, when some jerk attempted to lower the American flag at the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor, while shouting anti-American sentiments. Two young Marines, who were visiting the memorial, grabbed the guy, raised the flag and threw him in the water. They were promptly arrested by the Park Police and handed over to the Navy. What punishment did they receive from their command? A few days after the incident, the Commanding Officer, Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station, held a Review/Parade in their honor and presented them with medals. Hooah!!!

This soldier has been directly instructed in Karmic Conduct Correctives, both as civilian and service-member. Karma can and in fact will adjust you, consenting or otherwise disinclined. This soldier would have stared a hole right through this offensive person on the street. I'm sure she has her "reasons" and I just need to look around to find them... there probably in the wastebin or recycle.

I suspect she's trying to be funny. I do not find it funny at all. Maybe she's demonstrating that she has freedom of speech in this great nation -- a freedom that was defended, ironically, by the very military members who "rest" in Arlington National Cemetery.

Well, then she tried and failed --- wrong time and, definitely, the wrong place.

She had freedom of speech and she exercised it. No problems there.
The people that would hire her, date her, or get to know her also have freedom of speech and they are exercising that. No problems there either.

GnySgt Wayne, thank you. My uncle Al Archuleta was serving at "The Oldest Post in the Corps" in Washington, D.C. when a similar incident happened just off grounds. Apparently some young men and women thought we not being observed (I used to think no one could see me as a civilian as well) began taking offensively postured photographs during a performance by the Silent Drill Platoon. Long story short, these people got the "IRL" (internet for in real life) version of what this woman received. Imagine the verbal beating this woman got, except that happened in person that day.
SGT Hanner, I feel like I have to do some time pushing it out for her. Since her "private jokes" and such trump our desire for a modicum of respect and solitude. Front leaning rest! (Starts counting 'em out)

Definitely moments like that/this make you want to shake your head and wonder, but ultimately we serve so that jackholes can have the freedom to show the world their ass.

"I was totally disturbed, disgusted," said Jerri Keith. "I can't believe the disrespect."

I've seen this around these two clowns were responding to every single person on a facebook page apologizing to almost 50% of the people commenting on their news story.

People my age... I some times I want to just shake my head and "walk away from the gasoline" but even these are our people, my people, and must be defended with that big check we wrote when we all joined up. Thank you ALL for your service, because I only had a country to serve, because of those who came before, not those who showed their ass.

GySgt Wayne A. Ekblad, this has nothing to do with liberalism, but with stupidity and a complete lack of respect.

Before anybody even says it: This worthless POS is more than welcome to exercise her right to free speech --- SHE CAN JUST DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I agree LCpl it is a disgrace and I'd say if we showed up at her mom's funeral and started the same load of crap she would most likely have a screaming cow and call the police or some ambulance chasing lawyer and attempt to sue us to death. But seeing as how the honored dead in that hollowed ground died giving her that right of "Free Speech" theres not much we can do about it.

It's sad. I did funeral honors. Can think of a couple times the VFW and Patriot Guard riders had to block off the ceramonie for over threats from west borough threats.

I was thinking the very same thing, SSG (Join to see) -- if she would like it if others were so rude and boisterous at a family member's funeral or grave site.

I agree CW5 (Join to see) --- but, of course, we would never think to do such a thing (which is what separates us from her).
