Even though Star Trek came out before Star Wars, I was exposed to Star Wars first. I lived in the sticks and we only had a few channels, no Star Trek, no cable back then. So I have to say Star Wars is my first love. I remember going to the theater on opening day of the ORIGINAL Star Wars, back in 1977. No "stadium seating", but the screens were about five times larger than any that are in the theaters today. This was in Killeen, Texas. There were no other movies like it at the time and I found it so funny how, during the Death Star trench scene, people, in the audience, would instinctively sway side-to-side! Must have saw that movie 25 times that year in the theater. Good 'ol days!

MSgt Allan Folsom - That sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn't be able to attend. I am, for the most part, homebound. I don't get out unless it is with my wife , or family.

That sounds like a good plan! Let me talk to the wife and we'll see what we can do!
I wish I could have a beer! One of my meds makes beer (and I mean ANY beer) taste horrible! I would LOVE to have a beer, but they don't taste right anymore. I used to drink LOTS of beer when I flew....not when I was actually flying, but I mean at that time in my life. Most aircrew drink a [pretty good] amount of beer and so did I! We actually have a rally patch for our flight suits that says Alcoholics Moving Cargo (AMC). Looks just like the regular AMC patch. Anyway, I digress.

I think that both have their merits. If star trek had light sabers I think I would stay with the Next Generation cast.

I love both. I grew up watching Star Trek with my Father. Star Wars was another movie we got the who family together to watch. I'm looking foreword to the new Star Wars coming out. Not sure if it can be as god as the originals but it might come close. Also, Star Trek, new movies were excellent and took a little different spin but I like them.

Ok, first the Global Warming post divided us... then the Air Force Oath issue... then the abortion post...
But now? ST vs SW? Really? Some people here are trying to start one hell of a RP war...
BTW, Both, plus: Firefly; Battlestar Galactica (except the last few episodes); Eureka, and quite a few others.

I have been a Trekker ever since my grandfather got me hooked on TNG. Data and Worf are my two favorite characters.
