Don't even get me started on the subject of stolen valor via car license plates, decals or bumper stickers.

They just wish they were us. I normally look at a guy like that especially when they try to explain why they did not enlist...normally they got the one recruiter that was incompetent or they would not give me what I wanted etc., well, I normally look them in the eye and say, "you know, that little white speck on the top of a pile of chicken crap, well that little speck is chicken crap too. Men serve their country, not make excuses why they did not."

Ask him if he was smoking a very large crack pipe and if he was born stupid or had to work at it. After asking to see his CAC, of course

I just leave them alone. They are suffering from some type of mental illness and should be given wide berth. One thing I absolutely do not do, and encourage other to do the same, is to tell them how I know they are faking. No need to give them the info they need to be more believable in the future. If they are "homeless" and begging for money, I advise anyone nearby that they are fake.

SPC (Join to see). We need a law that can be enforced on the books. That said, we also need to be very careful about how we handle these people . . . so we don't get in legal trouble ourselves . . . and we don't risk injury to ourselves or bystanders by some lunatic. Warmest Regards, Sandy

ask for Military ID if none available:
be polite, don't harass, gather pertinent information without bringing attention to yourself and turn it over to local authorities (i.e. physical description, name if found out, license plate.) leave it to the authorities to handle confrontations and to take care of that individual for what ever laws and or statutes that have been violated. remember we were and are the professional war fighters and need to hold our selves to a higher standard.

One of the things that makes me wonder about what is wrong with the guy. If he was happy with who he is , would he need to be someone else?

How do I deal with it? I laugh at them, and I let them know that. These people amuse me. I don't get angry or try to assault them over it. I have some really good memes for stolen valor but for some reason I can't post pictures.

Better than you
Gc1er
If they are wearing jump wings or a CIB I take them with me....then I really do try to embarrass them. Make a Fracktard look like a fracktard.
