Sunglasses indoors for medical reasons

I will most likely be required by medical authorities to start wearing sunglasses, even when indoors, due sensory problems. I'm concerned, however, about being subjected to scrutiny for wearing sunglasses indoors while in uniform.
Any good advice on how to minimize the risk of being subjected to "on the spot corrections" on a regular basis?

SFC Melker Johansson, to minimize scrutiny, I would suggest a couple of things. First, make sure that you keep a copy of your profile on your person at all times. Second, I would make sure that you sit down with your 1SG with your profile so that he/she can see it and the two of you can discuss further mitigating factors. Good luck!!!

You are going to get corrected. It is unavoidable. Seeing as you are a senior NCO it probably will not happen as much as if you were junior enlisted. Just remember not to be offended. When it happens let them know you have a profile. If necessary show it. Try not to wear "fashionable" sunglasses. keep it military issued. As time goes by the soldiers you work around will get use to it.
