As we approach closer to Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to take time to say what I am thankful for and hear what everyone else is thankful for.
I am thankful for having a wonderful and caring family that always supports each other through thick and thin. I am thankful for the friends I have made throughout my life. And I am thankful for being given the opportunity to become a future officer in the United States Army.

I guess I will say that I am thankful for all of my brothers and sisters who wear and used to wear the uniform. I am thankful for my family, because without their support, I can't imagine where I would be. I am also thankful for my friends. Lastly, I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, through him, all things are possible!

The thing I'm most thankful for, considering, is that I'm actually still here to enjoy it! :)

Thankful - oh hell..... The list is long and distinguished but here are a few things: (1) I'm greatful for my health. No matter how badly I feel - aches, pains, broken this and busted that - there's always someone who has a problem that I don't have to worry about. (2) I'm greatful for the opportunity to advocate on behalf of fellow veterans for the benefits they've earned through selfless service to our great country. It's an honor that I often have to pinch myself to remind myself that it's all real. Being able to help the SM/vet/family navigate through the vast morass called the VA and watching the tension leave their faces as they see a path to a resolution always makes my day.

I DID! And I did ALL the paperwork Myself! Helps that I was Medically Discharged at 20%, then Grad School, then Independent Contractor for VA determining VR eligibility while providing in-home Therapy for USMC... learned the regs and the paperwork and created a detailed documented paper trail...Knowledge of the System and Persistence literally Paid Off! That’s one of the reasons I am an Advocate for ALL Veterans! Let me know if someone needs assistance!PO1 (Join to see)

Time for an update. Spent every holiday with my family since this post. I still enjoy serving my country while in the Guard versus the active duty.

I am thankful for God keeping me safe for 26 years and multiple deployments.
I am thankful for a wonderful wife and kids who supported me for 18 years of that 26.
I am thankful for my son for making me proud for following and keeping up a multigenerational tradition of service.

I'm thankful that there's a God and He and his angels watch over us.
I'm thankful to have such a loving wife and family.
I'm thankful to have such an awesome career that lets me serve the country while letting us live comfortably and live in different places every few years.
I'm thankful we live in a country that's mostly free. I am certainly grateful I don't live somewhere like North Korea.
I'm thankful for the people I've met along my journey in life. Everyone I have had contact with has influenced me in some way - some had huge influences, other very small (but influences nonetheless).

Check with John 3:16 while you are mindful of what you are thankFul for. For God so loved the world ,That He gave His Only Son, That whosoever believers in Him Will not Perish.Happy Thanksgiving,Merry Christmas Happy new year.More so, as we Gather to gather to ask The Lords' blessing He chastens. He Hastens, His will to make known,The wicked oppressing, cease now from Distressing Sing praies to His Name,And May you choose Jesus,And God be on your side, so you can look up over the hills from your help will could,God forgets not His Own
