I don't really think the Army is the best branch of service. I actually have zero preference; we are all on the same team. Shouldn't there be more joint offices? Some think their branch and MOS is superior and that there are no equals. What do you think?

Well I have been only in 2 Branches, first the Marine Corps as an Enlisted Marine and now as an Officer. I have to be honest, there is sometimes a lack of discipline regarding Soldiers; especially if you are not in their chain of command or their unit. Now in the Marine Corps, they take discipline to another level. As a NCO if you see something wrong you can address the action and a Marine would say, "Aye, Aye," and would immediately adhere to the corrective action. So I would say Marines have the discipline down, however I do not believe family life is not very important to them-Mission Accomplishment is the objective. The Army believes in Family and Family is a huge deal in the Army, Mission Accomplishment is also important but the Army also cares about a Soldier's family. All in All I would have to say based on the support for families I would have to give the Army a leg up from the Marine Corps.

Another thing the Marines are told is....the United States does not need a Marine Corps., but the people of the United States want a Marine Corps.

I'm one of the ones who says we should have a unified structure; one US military with as much cross-compatible equipment & training as possible (and practical). That said, I like the Army but admire and respect the other branches for what they do.

Whichever branch suits your particular skill set and talents is the better one- for you. I have nothing but respect for the other branches of service and what they bring to the fight.

There should be one American military. We should all have the same basic training and be able to serve in the different services as if they are one.

Canada tried that. Don't bring that up with any Canadian career military, a very sore subject with them.
