Holiday over eating1

From Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing to "Dia de la Virgen" tamales and champurrado; from Christmas and Kwanzaa to New Years Eve and Three Kings Day awesome food; and if you are Hispanic you still have "Dia de la Candelaria" tons of tamales.

After all is done you end up with a belly as big as that smile. With a PT test on site, you have to get back in shape. Any workout and/or diet advice?

Dieting is about 70-75% of weight loss. However, the term "diet" implies something that's temporary. Especially, as you get older, you're talking about a lifestyle change. Begin slowly, cutting out breads and other such starches, ESPECIALLY processed and fast food. Then sugar - especially alcohol. Watch your portion control as well. Basically, if it didn't have a mother, or you didn't pick it -- don't eat it.

This is a subject matter that I could write about forever, I have spent the last 20 years working with companies in nutrition and fitness as a part of the leadership, teamwork programs.

Setting a goal is first and foremost, remembering that a "diet" set the mind in a automated program that there is a start and finish, therein lies a problem: Loosing weight and keeping it off usually requires a lifestyle change of making conscious decisions becasue our subconscious will usually lead us astray.

One would be surprised how much a person can loose if the completely stop eating ALL processed foods (to include fast food) and ANY sugar drinks, sauces or juices. The main point in this is that 4 cokes a day with 2 McDonald's Burgers and a few cookies have ZERO nutritional value but are more than your daily allowance of calories.

This also includes a cleanse, a light colon cleanse is great to start at the same time you start the nutrition change, you will see not only weight loss but increased energy and you will see the bags under your eyes go away, the skin will clear up and you will sleep better only after 30 days.

If anyone needs anything, write me: I have a pre-printed general nutrition program that I offer to Veterans for FREE through my website: http://www.wholepatriot.com.

All the Best and much luck!
Steven
