Out of ALARACT 085/2015: 5. (U) INSIGNIA AND ACCOUTERMENTS WORN ON THE ACU MUST BE OF THE CORRESPONDING CAMOUFLAGES PATTERN COLOR. THE BACKGROUND MATERIAL OF NAME TAPES, SHOULDER SLEEVE INSIGNIA, TABS, GRADE INSIGNIA, FORMER WARTIME SERVICE, AND SEW-ON BADGES WILL MATCH THE CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN OF THE UNIFORM

Thanks SGT Malagon, that's all I could find as well. I know this is a common sense thing and a person of this rank should know better and can definitely afford the correct patches BUT, when I approach this person I want to make sure I have it all lined out. Thanks again for the response.

As far as I'm tracking, the ONLY UCP patch items that are authorized with OCP uniform wear are UCP patches (name, rank, U.S. Army) on the gray fleece jacket. The gray fleece can be worn with the OCPs but ONLYh the UCP patches and vice versa if you possess the coyote brown fleece.
