Spc Pete Lopez, I just checked out the questions you have been asking and I have a grave concern. With that I'd like to ask you a question, "Are you wanting to be an NCO or an E-5"?
Remember we all have to (had to) put in our time, learn and work harder than the others when we was a Spc/ Cpl to pin on the Sgt, SSG, ect. stripes/ rank. The fast way is not always the right way & nothing worth while is all that easy. Life doesn't get easier than you have it as the ranks of Pfc & Spc trust me, not if you are doing your job right.
Do not take that wrong, Myself and the other NCO's & Officers of the military past and present want nothing more than you to get what you earn. I'm looking forward to the day your rank moves up but I'd rather hear you're an NCO not an E-5 holding a slot. Can you understand what I'm saying?

SSG Melvin Nulph but SSG!!!! It's the new army! I want my promotion now!!! I'm entitled to it!!!! .... This is what I hear every time I listen to people discuss how to shortsheet promotion. Especially from those who don't deserve promotion ahead of peers.

Lmao, SPC Oisin Crowley, funny and sad at the same time. You may not believe this but back in the 80's I went to BT & AIT as well as our first duty station with 3 people. Two of them said the same thing and really believed it, like? They made their E-3 & 4 several times to but never became an NCO, (Thank you Lord), because they would have held a slot a real NCO could have had. Their wives did their correspondence courses for them and one started a college course, attempted to use her initias instead of her name so they both could use it? Sad to say just like the military, their marriage didn't last either, she married an SFC and he went home.
"What's wrong with doing the right thing", was the question I always asked them, I think you know their response, but thinking back on that, "I get the last laugh" hope you join me.
I wish Spc Lopez the best (like every member) and hope they get what every soldier deserves and a NCO (in their unit) takes them under their wing, and guides them away from (the people) and into the best leaders they can be.
Ft Benning had some outstanding NCOs when I was stationed there, do you have any of them helping you Spc Crowley, something tells me you do :)

No you are not right. If I'm understanding your statement you are saying you can not max out your military education(not college, and not correspondence courses). You are referencing military course ie: Combat Lifesaver, HAZMAT, etc?
