We have seen many things about our POTUS that many do not like about him, and while we have all had leaders we did not like, we could usually pick out a few things, or traits/characteristics you could use or emulate.
So, list the things you do like, keep it professional as always. What did momma say? "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say nothing all."
I'll start:
(1) President Obama broke the racial barrier. He earned an education, became a Senator and a lawyer and is now the President.
(2) He has given millions a hope that one day they can do something great, especially those from under privileged areas.
(3) He has largely supported the military until as of recently with the downsizing, which is inevitable in every decade, our leaders have to make cuts...we keep only the best and brightest, right?
(4) He is a very supportive husband and father, and we need strong father role models in today's society where fathers are as rare as a long term-marriage.
I believe he honestly wants good things for America...I don't necessarily agree with the way he is going about it.
(5) He authorized the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
I know there aren't many fans on RP, but if there is something you like, share it if you dare.

His ability to keep calm and speak without anger or hatered coming from his voice. His ability to stay humble though he is hated by many. Theres so much more i want to say to those who cant follow simple instructions but i will hold my tounge because i was raised better.

His ability to stay HUMBLE??????????????????????????????????????? His ability to not respect our flag, can't speak without a teleprompter without a constant um uh umm, he crosses his hands in front of his crotch when the pledge is said; while his wife is texting. Quote, when asked why he doesn't wear a US flag pin on his lapel he said "I don't want to appear to be favoring the United States of America. He is hated because of his purposely taking us down the road to socialism/communism. He was raised by communist/Muslim parents and family!!!!

Ummmmm....... I'm still thinking! Not to be a hater, but I really don't think he has done much...... Not to mention...... He first ran on the "CHANGE" campaign pledge! Well to be honest it looks like the same 'ol, same 'ol D.C. POLITICS....... Nothing NEW....... JUST WASHINGTON D.C. .......BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!

I don't agree with saying Obama broke the racial barrier...this country is too politically correct and also many rights are being taken away from Christians so we don't "offend" anyone..only thing Obama did right was maybe when we saved that sailer from those Somali pirates in the beginning. He showed leadership there, but now there's no credibility with all the madness going on within this administration.

Breaking the racial barrier was referencing becoming our first Black President...he broke barriers.

He smiles a lot while he is lying. He is a great double talker. Pretty soon he won't be in the Whitehouse anymore.

I respect him as my president, and am quite disappointed in those of you in this thread who are lacking the professionalism to do so. Do I like his methods to handle many of the issues this country faces? That is irrelevant. As the POTUS he has earned my respect as a subordinate. The expression that comes to mind, that many may be familiar with, "Respect the rank, even if you don't respect the person wearing it".

SGT Paul Zinder, that's good you don't hate anyone. Are you willing to say the same thing about me and many other conservatives? You're right, I do have much more to learn which is why I am a voracious reader, I listen extensively, and I try to remain as objective as I can, even though I do have subjective thoughts at times.
As far as putting targets on Gabby Giffords, you do realize it was a Sarah Palin's political action committee objective to target 20 Democrats, including Giffords, who were up for reelection in 2010, and who had voted for the health care bill in 2008. Contrary to what many have said, the targeting was NOT an incitement to violence but to annotate the top most important Democrat candidates to be opposed. Now if you want to talk about inflammatory language with some of it tacitly inciting violence then what about some of President Obama's comments from 2008-2010?
"If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun." Barack Obama in July 2008
"I want you to argue with them and get in their face!" Barack Obama, September 2008
"Here’s the problem: It’s almost like they’ve got — they’ve got a bomb strapped to them and they’ve got their hand on the trigger. You don’t want them to blow up. But you’ve got to kind of talk them, ease that finger off the trigger." Barack Obama on banks, March 2009
"I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!" Barack Obama on ACORN Mobs, March 2010
"We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick." Barack Obama on the private sector, June 2010
"A Republican majority in Congress would mean ‘hand-to-hand combat’ on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy." Barack Obama, October 6, 2010
"We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us." Barack Obama to Latinos, October 2010

Paul, OMG you're a kid in the 101st. Why are you so radical and ask me stuff I don't even know what you're talking about. I don't like Obama. So what? Maybe if he knew me he wouldn't like me. Who gives a rip? I didn't like Johnson or Nixon. They both told what they wanted you to believe. Both were liars. So what? It's over. One day Obama will be gone and after that happens we can look back and see how he was as President. I'm 70 and have seen and heard a lot more history about our country than, obviously you have. Kick back. Take it easy and don't get so uptight. IT will make you old and grouchy, like me.

Respect is EARNED... not given... it's not the Nobel Peace Prize, ya know? If Obama had as much respect for the office as you apparently do, it would be a different story. He's a disgrace to the office of President.
An interesting aside... compare the Oath of Enlistment for Enlisted and Officer's. You'll notice one tiny but MAJOR difference. Enlisted swear to follow the orders of the President. Officers do not...

The President is a great speaker. He convinced me that he could unify the country in 2008 and I voted for him in 2008.

Obama is a great reader. When he doesn't have his speech on a teleprompter it sounds like; Let me make this perfectly clear, um um , ah ah ah um um and I'm sticking to it!!!!
