Had a Ranger recruiter come to our company and he discussed their training tempo, deployment rotations, family/work balance but haven't been able to find much out about the 160th SOAR. Does anyone have some insights? Is there a family/work balance achievable in this unit?

look, that's SOCOM- nobody will know about deployments till you get in country- they do not do "normal deployments". You get a phone call at odark-30hrs- and saddle up/lockup and go. It can be very tough on families, thats why SOCOM divorce rate is higher than regular units.
