Any tips for losing weight so I can enlist in the Navy? I have about 30 pounds to lose so it's not that much but I would like to hear your tips and tricks for dropping a few pounds. Thanks!

One grandson has a weight problem. In my house, he knows where the bottled water is! He also knows to not reach for a chilled Coca Cola!
Kiersten Childs I'm going to give you the keys to the kingdom, had I known about this program earlier, I probably would have been able to do some really hooah things when I had the opportunity. The Book is "Body for Life" by Bill Phillips. Just do what it says. Use the most austere version of it you can stick to and just consistently do it. Once you get going and lose a little weight, On the lower body days, figure out how to use the bands and work your way to,pull ups.
All the Richard Simons deal a meal Weight Watchers crap never worked for me. This works.

Kiersten Childs - I went from 22% bodyfat to 13% (I had abs for a brief fleeting moment). I would do BFL and unit PT. I was religious about it...to include having a blender at work for the afternoon and morning meal replacement.

Kiersten Childs - I'm a purist, I'd go to the original, but I am also conspicuously not a woman. Go to the library and see if they have them and do a quick comparison.
It might be the same program in two different wrappers. My wife tweaked it to dial down the carbs a little and used a light meal replacement that was lower calories...I'd rather have my gums scraped. It tasted like nasty diet sh*t with a funny texture...exactly the type of thing that would put me off a program. Fake this, fake that, replace this with some wonky crap that doesn't taste like the thing that was replaced.

I can't do diet food. I agree, it's so gross! I prefer just eating unprocessed, natural food. I do have some protein powder that isn't too bad. I'm not sure if that's going to be a part of the diet plan though.

Kiersten Childs - read first. Those items are certainly part of it, just read first.
