Consumer Report has built a reputation good enough to doom or push a company. So, when CR gives a bad review on a car, companies takes it seriously and even fix what they pointed out. 2015 is getting to it's end, have you ever owned one of the Top 10 Worst Cars Ever?

No but my parents have some experience. My mom loved the Murano when it came out. Test drove it years later when it was time for a new car and completely hated it when she test drove it.

My dad had a 1988 Dodge Omni he bought used for about a grand and loved it. This was 1996? He only needed something to get him to and from work (about a mile away) and for that purpose it was perfect.

Way back in the day my dad had TWO Chevrolet Vega's, which are always on these lists of worse cars ever. He both bought them brand new and I think he is the only person who had good luck with them mechanically other than the fact they rusted horribly, which is why he sold the first one if I recall correctly but all cars built in the 70s had these issues.

A friend of mine had a Murano and, I kid you not, he had to change the front right headlight like 3 times in a 9 months period. Something electronic kept burning the cables and something in the plugs that he had to change not just the bulb but the whole headlight. He told me it was a pain in the butt. SrA David Steyer

SGT(P) (Join to see), I think this one is clearly a case where a guy with a shop did it just because he could. Like I said, it would be completely impossible to pilot this thing, probably even at idle.

1SG (Join to see) I wonder how the engine would work with the hatch closed, it would be hard fro the blower to aspirate air with a glass right in front of it. I bet it could even brake it.

SGT(P) (Join to see), the glass would have to be removed. The vibration alone would probably break it, and you're very correct about the aspiration. He'd probably have to have the windows open, too.
I'll bet the under steer is ridiculous, too. No way that thing is balanced.

1SG (Join to see) my bet is that this was an Annual Waste of Time and Money Auto Show and he won all the prices.

I had a 97 Grand Am Gt, it took .07 secs from the low oil light went on to engine blown. I had the car for less than 3 months, no more Pontiacs for me. Glad they went out of production Cpl (Join to see)

SGT(P) (Join to see) - I had a 2003 Grand Am. I had a lot of dumb faith in that car. It was the second car I ever owned (and 6 years newer and only six years old when I bought it) and I can't say that I miss it. I then bought a brand new car with no miles on it. I got a lot of jokes for that car (I was 22 driving a granny hatchback) but I did a lot of driving so worthwhile.

The sunfire i had was a beast. It was close to 150k miles when I got hit head on in a left hand turn lane. I replaced the clutch around 125k, other than that, no issues at all.

Cpl (Join to see) I'll give you points because that specific Sunfire was pretty much a Cavalier in disguise and, for those years, the Cavalier was the american version of the Corolla, it just didn't die. I remember the Cavalier Z24, that was a small beast! For those times, that little car with a Lumina engine, was more than powerful.
