Topless equality for Males and Females; Do you think this should actually be considered?

Thousands of people paraded shirt-free around the world Sunday to push for laws that would allow women to go topless in public; allowing women to go topless where ever men are allowed. What issues do you foresee if this is approved, And are you for or against it? Oh, and please be civil with your replies as I'm really curious as to what you think about this, thank you!
As far as I'm concerned, I would be against it due to the immature goobers who may see this as an opportunity to "take it a step further". I do understand why the challenge for equality, I just don't think this is one that should be pursued, as doing so will only appeal more to the predators... Also of note, there are some guys and gals out there that really just don't look... "aesthetically pleasing (?)" going topless...

How many of these protesters are married or mothers? I doubt very many are family oriented. What would be your response to your wife, mother or daughter?

Put a shirt on men then too. Equality. If you open the door it will continue to open and then there are issues if someone took a photo, innocently or not, and was that person if age? Did they consent to being in the background just by being there or is there privacy laws? Just put a shirt on guys.

Here at Great Lakes RTC they made it equal...... NO topless. Not even to change shirts.
Political correctness to the Nth degree.

there is a time and place for everyone to be topless, i do not agree with a low that allows women to be topless anywhere and everywhere.

Well, as already stated, the technology of today allows us to see whatever we want whenever we wish. There really shouldn't be that much of a problem with women being allowed to go topless.

SPC David S. I do agree with this statement, however, human nature will always dictate otherwise... Thank you for your comment!

You think we have SHARP problems now - this will only make things worse.
The fact that the video blurs the women's bare chests should tell you that the society is not ready for this.

I would have to disagree with "The fact that the video blurs the women's bare chests should tell you that the society is not ready for this." as this is a result of the Federal Communications Committee and how they perceive it. If we do away with the governmental moral compass there will be a change.

My comment was in reference to the governmental moral compass not the individual moral compass, totally different. If we need the government to tell us what is right and what is wrong we all are in for a world of hurt. To answer your question, morals are based on individuals and not as a whole so it hard to say that we have lost our morals, but individually across the spectrum i would say that many have lost their morals.

1SG Chris Davis, agreed. Many seem not to have acquired a sense of morals to begin with.

The "sexualixation" of female breasts will not make this practical/ possible.
Examples:
Women breastfeeding in public are often asked to move.
Breast cancer raises the highest amount of funding among all cancers, and is even commercialized every October with pink wares, football teams wearing pink gear, etc. Can anyone who doesn't have cancer themselves (or an immediate family member) tell me what another support color is for a different type of cancer? It covers the color spectrum and represents all types of cancer, even ones far more deadly; yet all most people know about is pink, because breasts are worshipped.
Moral decency should also be included in this decision. Top less & nude beaches are fine for those who wish to attend, but that doesn't mean that we should all be walking around naked every day.

SSgt Penny Ryan You bring up a good POV I hadn't considered as there are a spectrum of colors for the various types of cancer, and? Breast cancer is the most "sensationalized"... I guess it's safe to say that if this were to happen (and I hope it won't) it definitely won't be in my lifetime. Thank you for your comment.

don't care one way or the other but some wont be able to handle it for many reasons like i don't mind my woman topless in front of me. but i wouldn't like anyone seeing her topless and i don't think she would like it. but if she wanted to walk around topless i wouldn't mind. but if someone grouped her i would kill them. and some men can't see a nice set of breast's without getting a hardon it's a fact or looking for more than 60 sec. witch is leering and that is sexual harassment by law. i know this because i had to take classes for my management position at Wells Fargo Guard services.
