Attempting to locate how to translate my unit's Luxembourg March certificates or what HRC needs to process them for iPerms.

Our Soldiers are being advised by HRC they cannot iPERM the awards due to them not being in English. HRC's foreign award page states:
"Provide a copy of the certificate and/or citation for the badge and decoration in the original language and an English translation."

Can anyone assist in how I go about this? Can I Google translate and make our own or does it have to come from the host nation? Any assistance would be appreciated!

SGM Mikel Dawson has the 'most correct' answer. If you get a translation issued by the source, then there should be no question regarding the award.

However, HRC will accept "official translations" as well. You can contact Military OneSource* and they will provide you with with free translation services for the document. How long it will take I have no idea, but it will be certified as an official translation. Contact them to get the ball rolling.

*edit* - CPT Box contacted them and they can do a translation turnaround in 3-5 business days.

Skip the Google Translate.

Sir, just to follow-up. I contacted Military One Source and they are translating the awards. They said it will take 3-5 business days which is VERY impressive. The only downside is each Soldier has to contact them individually to translate each award. No big deal. But, thanks again for the resource.

Good to hear!

Keep Military OneSource in mind if you ever have a "I need help with _____" and can't find answers. They've helped with all sorts of 'off the wall' things I've looked for in the past.

Sir,
If I was you, I would reach out to the Issuing command, let them know you need a translation. I had to have one done for a Danish march. Got the issuing command to get me a translation, was G2G.

While everyone is on track, a translation does not Guarantee being added to your official file There are many sanctioned and h sanctioned events across Europe and many are not rated for our records. Of give it the effort it deserves for your Soldiers, but don’t be disappointed if this event does not meet the requirments.

Their were a couple of events during COVID ( remotely) that could not be recognized as our Soldiers never entered the official event on the ground, this changing the environment for the competition

CSM Darieus ZaGara my apologies, I should have asked. Did you run this through USAREUR public affairs or G1? They should readily know which are authorized and how to get the appropriate proof for the unit and Soldiers records.
