VA.gov under claim status used to show, I am talking for like 6 years now, my appeal status, place in the legacy appeal line, and how many claims. Last month there was over 36000, and my place was under 10000. Now it’s gone. I can see my “number” in the queue but not how many claims are there. What’s going on as of February 2024. Seems like they are trying to hide, bury how many legacy appeals are still waiting on the BVA. Far too many considering these would be docketed now 6-7 years ago at least.

I Very Well May Be Placing My Own Azz In A Sling,
But This Is Important To Every Vet & Worth The Risk To Me:
~
FAR Too Many Vets Are UNAWARE Of This::
And After Searching for OVER 25 YEARS. I Just Discovered It,

#1.. We Are Entitled To VA Benefits At ALL VA Facilities For Medications,
Treatments AND Medical Supplies,
Regardless Of WHERE They Are Or WHERE We Live.
Any City, State Or County Throughout The World.. .. PERIOD.
~
#2....VA's Do Not Provide The Same Items ~~
Each Has It's Individual List Of What Is Provided,,,
If Yours Does NOT Have A Medication Or Certain Medical Equipment,
Others MAY.... And Your Benefits Are Also INCLUDED There.
~~
~~ Now Here's A BIGGIE:~~
The WASHINGTON DC VETERANS HOT LINE:
~~~~ [login to see] ~~
If You Have ANY Viable Problems With Your Local VA,
And They're NOT Being Solved Locally,,, Contact These People....
They TAKE Action, IMMEDIATELY.......
NOW: Tell Every VET You Know`` AND VA Employees... Including The Medical Staff.
VERY FEW Are Aware Of These Benefits... NEVER Knew They Existed.
What number are you looking for that isn't there? It is showing 36,001 appeals and you are # 9,531. Is something missing or are you just refuting the data displayed? You could reference your VSO or a case worker if you already have one assigned. You may be able to run it by your respective State Veteran's office for assistance.
That’s what it looked like before February. I don’t have a VSO, couldn’t find one, heard nothing but horror stories anyway. Probably a big reason why the so-called sharks are prolific. Anyway I can only see my number in the VA app. Not all. So I have no idea how many claims there are or why mine isn’t moving.
SGT Scott M - You can reach out to the VFW and the American Legion. Those are VSOs. Give them a try, regardless of the horror stories you may have heard.
You can search for the nearest American Legion with this link:
You can search for a VFW with this ling:
SGT Scott M - If you are afraid of being scammed I would stick with VSO's from known sources like your State Veteran office or some of the big vet NPO's like American Legion, DAV, VFW, Marine Corps league and the likes of those. Many VA hospitals actually have office space dedicated onsite for VSO's. You won't find any pay for play predatory operations in there.
