From The Patriot Post:

“Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them.” –Thomas Jefferson (1775)

I feel so honored to be a veteran of this country. I also feel even more honored when I read about a fellow patriot doing unusual, and very brave things in wars we have been in. This is a story about a hero. Heroes don't think about being a hero when they do something extraordinary, like falling on a grenade, taking a bullet meant for someone else, or any number of feats done by people like you and me. Enjoy!

CSM Michael J. Uhlig, I've seen that shoulder patch on recent members of the Army who went to the Middle East. What unit does it represent?

I have two young friends with that patch on. They are in the reserves. The 36th Infantry Div. went to Iraq, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks.
