Can I join the Army after being discharged from the Air Force with an RE code of 2C, an entry-level separation with a JKQ for misconduct?

Best thing I can say sister A1C (Join to see) , is talk to an Army recruiter about your RE code, see what they say.

You will need a waiver to join the Army. Unfortunately for you, we are currently beginning a draw down in force size given our withdrawal from Afghanistan. There are more qualified recruits without disciplinary issues than you, so you will likely not be a priority for recruiters.

As someone said earlier it will require a waiver, consider a reserve component, it may be easier to get. You also need at least 6 months from the date of discharge.

I was discharged after 2 years of active duty for misconduct. I received a General under Honorable Conditions discharge, with an RE 3 code, and a JKQ separation code. My recruiter said she could definitely get me back in with a little paperwork, but I was wondering how realistic that really was. How likely is it my waiver will get approved?
