He was one hell of a Veteran and a supporter of Veteran causes. I'm sure our brothers who are standing post at the gates have welcomed him with an appropriate salute.

Ted Williams loved Yogi and in his book Ted said that when he first saw Berra in a catcher's chest protector that was too big for him and chin guards that came up to his waist he said to himself "Who the hell is this little guy?" But later said "Yogi always had something funny to say when I came to the plate to throw off my concentration. So I had to tell him to shut the F@@@ up!!"...
