Yep! I'm giving this spoiled, ignorant, disrespectful POS, Emma Becker, her two minutes of fame because I just cannot seem to maintain my anger.
1. WTH IS WRONG WITH OUR YOUTH?
2. WHAT THE HELL ARE HER PARENTS TEACHING HER?
3. With shit like this, I really think taking her little Twitter privileges away is a great start at punishment.
But I know! We protect her right to say something that's absolutely unforgivable. I'm not perfect...

I'm getting asked "why are you spreading this or that," or actually being TOLD to stop... So here is my response to that!!!
I want this to follow her for the rest of her years. I want employers to look her up and see this. Do I want her on welfare? No, But I want her to know, like with so MANY others, that what you say CAN BE HELD AGAINST YOU!!!

How many of us Killed every single day we were in the military? I know I have been asked if the military was just awful, people thinking we are always riding HUMVEES or shooting people, living in tents... Have y'all been to McDill AFB? That place is AWESOME! I always answered that it was probably the most fun and most thrilling job I had ever had WHILE DEPLOYED, other than that, it is like every other persons work day. So no, We dont "Literally" only get paid to kill people.

I mean this kind of stuff goes back to the Vietnam War and even before that. It's about damn time, I say, that we stand up for ourselves instead of turning the other cheek like we always do.

And heck yeah, I feel we are deserved some sort of respect. I don't ask for it tho, unless it is from my daughter. Those that think we shouldn't unless we were called up, I mean, seriously??? Whatever. If you feel we can be disrespected, not only as Service Members, but also as adults, well, that would explain your vote down and I have nothing for you.
So, Freaking have fun with this and don't take it that seriously. It isn't supposed to be. Jesus

Dear OP. I know it has been a while since you posted this, but I can't simply ignore what I've read from your post. I hope you've changed your views and what I say doesn't apply to you anymore. Please take what I say with a grain of salt.
The target of your scrutiny can think whatever the hell she wants and I encourage her to express her viewpoints freely without the fear of repercussion from society. It is foolish to fight someone because you might disagree with what they say. As for me, I think it is wrong to punish, target, or ostracize people for having unaligned views, nothing ever good came from this and nothing ever will.
You are terrible.
You say you personally defend her right to hold her views, and then you "want her to know, like with so MANY others, that what you say CAN BE HELD AGAINST YOU!!!" You're not a judge, not a cop; you're just another expendable, replaceable citizen that is important to a handful of people in your life. Neither your merit nor actions ever gave you that kind of right over our free citizens.
You are sounding just as big of a brat as the very person you are scrutinizing. And it makes the rest of us veterans look like a bunch of immature and whiny teenagers.
Why do you feel you deserve respect? Because you are in the military? I don't think anyone deserves respect because of status, i.e. military affiliation or seniority, because I've seen firsthand what kind of BS propagates from that line of thinking, or lack thereof.

Spoken like a true Liberal. Although you have the right to speak your peace, you should also respect where these rights come from. If her views are "all blacks sucks" should we hold that against her?

Maybe this kid/girl doesn't have parents who care for her. Maybe she's from a broken home where one of the parents is gone all the time. Maybe her parents hide in a bottle of booze or do drugs. Maybe she's a military brat who doesn't have anyone to confide in and uses this venting hatred to get kids to like her. I think that if a female soldier, sailor, or airman were to sincerely reach out to her then just maybe she could be helped. There is ALWAYS another view of the story. Just my thoughts.

I saw this on twitter and thought she was a grudge kid who had been turned down or burned by a Marine. Everyone gets burned, suck it up was my reaction. Then I realized I have grandchildren her age and I am of a completely different generation, had to work from the time i was able to, and the whole nine yards. I made my own clothes, bought the fabric from baby-sitting money before I had a "real" job that paid min. wage of $.85 an hour in a nursing home. Not complaining nor bragging, just sayin...so I look at things differently. Kids worked, too, in HS.
This kid should be looking at herself. Parents often don't do too much teaching, I have found. Those parents who try are often over ridden by peers who have parents who don't give a flying pig what their kids are doing or thinking. I think it is difficult to parent in any time..my father took the pistol belt to get our attention, as he put it. That is uncalled for...thank the Greatest Generation for starting to screw up the head and lay the ground work for my generations PTSD...I have studied PTSD, when one has it one studies it, or at least I did, because I worked with others who have it. Experiences in the military made it worse.
So, we can't really blame the parents for this tootsies remarks. She made them, has no clue about what she said about the Veteran Posse of the US, especially the Marines who have a Posse of their own. Hope she learns a bit about what she said, realizes she should not makes such a hurting statement in a heated moment...we stick together, she has only herself.

Kiddos are raising kiddos these days. Like I have stated, I have cousins (a lot! Mother is oldest of 9) that believe or think the same way. If asked what we should do about things like ISIS/ISIL, well, it's almost like the 70's. We can beat them with love.. Like to see them use that in front of one of them. It ain't gonna work. SSG(P) D. Were you around in the 70's? Very few of the youth were irresponsible...who do you think are the the ones who took on the responsibilities of the world? The movers and the shakers? I was one of the movers and the shakers as were my peers. We made a difference in many things. We did not stand stand still and leave things to others. Our children are productive citizens, too. Yes, the children of our children may be less than ambitious---or are they?
