Were the attacks on Paris retaliation for the assassination of Jihadi John?

Is it possible that the recent terrorist attacks on Paris were due to the assassination of the Islamic States' infamous "Jihadi John"?

The attacks came several hours after the media announced that the U.S. had killed Jihadi John via drone strike.
