Find yourself an Air Force Reserve unit counterpart and find sometime to really talk about an inter service transfer. Your gonna have to get all your ducks in a row in your current command to get released from the Army as well especially given the money they put into training you so far. As a senior 1LT is a good time to make the change before a Captains Career Course is completed. Good Luck!

That is what I was thinking , just putting some feelers out there to see if anyone on here had experience with it. Thank you very much for reaching out.

I used to say if I had it to do over again I’d go Warrant or go Air Force so I can understand

LT I’m curious, are you wanting to swap just to be an HR Officer in the AFR or to become a pilot?

Hello 1LT Ariel I am Sadatna T. Setuckmarie II I am reired AGR 91B ASI-H for Instructor and a C for Chemical NBC and L for logistic. I was hand picked for Special duty as NCOIC of a Joint Militay Training Group that was made up of Air Force and Marine corps personnel I where not only NCOIC but I was Lead Instructor providing training in Logistic Management, Vehicle Maintenance and Transportation that position is unusual for a AGR Soldier I was the first to have such a position. I gave you that information about me to let you know that I served in the reserve system I never serve in the weekend reserve I was picked for the AGR program with by name request while on active duty. So you want to transfer from the USAR to the AFR I know how to do that I can tell you how if the regulation haven't changed. You indicate you are a 42B that should put you in the Quartermaster Branch. you should think about the transferring to the AFR that is completely difference than the USAR the promotion system is difference you have to do more to get promoted and the 42B job in the AFR is completely difference in the USAR and the AFR have two types or retirement system if the regulation haven't changed I retired in 1996 your first step is to see how much time you have left on your contract with the USAR then see if your branch have a shortage in your career field and then contact your branch manager if you want me to help you pursue this contact me a [login to see] My career field is also Human Resource I'm a civilian with Department of the Army I'm also trying to switch to the Air Force as a Civilian in Human Resource,
