I have been serving in the army for almost 5 years. With all available leave days (67) I will start my ETS leave May 21,2020. The transition office wants me to clear post May 20th and my final stamp May 21st. However, after a 8 month process I have accepted a job within another department with the government with a significant position and must start May 20th. I have tried to exhaust every option but either the Army or the next job will budge. What other options am I not yet using to be able to clear post and be at my job. I heard proxy clear? By the way I’m at Fort Hood.

Does your new boss understand the impossibility of that timeline?
Try to talk to the chief of the out-process section.

I don't know the process but if I recall correctly I signed something as a company commander so a Soldier could ETS a few days earlier.

I absolutely don't know, but in my day you could check out at 12:01 a.m. and be on your way. Is that still allowed? What time do you have to be at work and how long will it take to get there? Texas is big state. Maybe someone else could do the driving and you sleep en route.
