What are some suggestions on getting more veterans and active duty members into Sponsor a Vet Life Program that have PTSD, TBI, MST, or that are severely disabled?

I'm looking for solutions!

The goal is to reduce Suicides!

Here is a link on RP to our Group Page for more information:

Does it have to be just one banner picture or could you do a couple pictures? Maybe one picture has a link for Sponsors, one for Veterans, etc...

Just a suggestion, I would change the picture.... at first glance it looks like an advertisement for a luxury resort vacation that costs A LOT of money... and, nothing that makes me think jobs, veterans, sponsoring.

It is good to see that COL Borroughs is responding so soon with positive results. That shows a true concern and dedication to the program. Kudos!

1. Awareness
2. Testimonials
3. Telehealth Therapists - Virtual assistants -elearning trainers - webcam virtual life coach- Acceptance of using new technology - show that it is being effectively used in other types of medical settings. Show examples of it's use such as is being done in Teleradiology or Teleneurology, where doctors themselves are relying on this technology for patient care. Attaching a humorous clip here of what that looks like.
4. Holistic treatments - show how it works why it is effective - yoga is a great example of this but many men will avoid it because they don't view it as being manly.
5. Highlight the internal scars that dogs and horses being used in the treatment program have suffered and how they are in recovery too.

Just a thought, Mikel.

Also, Mikel, if you could get more of us to help out, I think that that would be a great incentive.

On- on-one interaction with friends is one of the best ways to spread the word and help veterans and others from committing suicide COL Mikel J. Burroughs.
I don't know if it would make sense to add a group for the depressed to join in on rallyPoint. If there was such a group that would be a great way to let them know about potential help from sites such as Sponsor a Vet Life

Make a commercial. With a Soldier using the site to talk with his Family/ Loved ones, and have a tour of the site with some of the things services it provides, Also you can try a Radio Advert. See if the V.A and bases will allow you to post flyers. Put adverts on all the social media sites.

I forgot,
To help with the funding for all the adverts see if you can get any of the Broadcasting Networks to sponsor you. That may also help with the cost of running and Maintaining the site too. and for even more Advertisement try Sponsoring events like Tough Mudder and/ or sports teams to get the logo and web address out there. Do Care Packages with Site info in or on the boxes for Vets in the VA Hospital and for active duty on deployment

Well thier is Facebook
Etc. As well as kickstarter. Twitter, LinkedIn. Wespr? Website used to be good for publication ie social media marketing.
Might have to look into tools. With CISSP certification etc relocation, haven't heard if Wespr is still hear.

Often you can use a WordPress tumblr page etc, linked to various social media , for maximum exposure, including a g+ rally point comunity.

Plus.Google.com , can setup a community ie rallypoint or charity etc, and main URL etc.
As well it supports Google hangouts , so video/voice chat is possible. Tumblr.com or wordpress.com , you can post and then to rallypoint, facebook,twitter/LinkedIn Google plus, etc it was a means of social media marketing, and s.e.o. (search engine optimization)
Wespr used to let me post to everything in a single stroke, unfortunately they are no more.

As for Me going for CISSP certification, it's all consuming , cyberwarfare countermeasures , IT security operations, building security, federal regulations... so I'm a bit busy.

However tweaking tumblr or wordpress.com pages or articles to post to Facebook , wordpress.com io to tumblr, or blogger.com (Google) and interface via api , twitter (#LinkedIn) to push to LinkedIn from Twitter if intergrated into LinkedIn profile,.
If rallypoint has an API , you could publish to wordpress.com or tumblr.com , then the same post will replicate on all pages desired,
Thus, one article published on many pages simultaneously, even may add a reddit.com api..
So for a specific cause or one opening a new business, etc it can aid in force multiplying.
Yes an army of one publisher, can look like a platoon. Even if you suck at traditonal making, you can fake it well.. with social media, and search engine optimization.
I've used it before to drive some computer repair jobs my way best of all free tools, edit a good add/press article and push.
However, you may need you Web development team on rallypoint to add a hook for tumblr or wordpress.com etc, as these can freely repost the same article to other services and or Facebook page/s thus saving you time.

Maybe get some VSO's to put the word out and all of the big veteran organizations wouldn't hurt either.
