What are some things that I will need to have arriving at my first unit?

First and foremost: A great attitude. Trust me when I say, never complain and volunteer whenever you see an opportunity to help your fellow soldiers. Learn to love the suck, and learn to love service. The more you give early on, the more you will receive later on. Don't necessarily seek to be the greatest, but rather seek to be the greatest version of yourself that you can be. Most importantly, have a great attitude.

All the stuff the Army issues to you. Uniforms, equipment, paperwork. A positive attitude, ready to learn, eager to serve.

Any paperwork you got when you left Basic/AIT. All of your issue gear they didn’t take from you when you leave basic/ait.
