What do you think the 10 most important MOSs in the Army are? And list them in order. Under the assumption that the Army is operating as a self sufficient unit with no civilian support.

All are important. Front troops can not last more than 72 hours without logistical support

You forgot the FINANCE -you know them--the ones that gets your pay correct. What about the Broadcasters such as on Armed Forces Radio or the journalists that keeps you up to date on the news. Gives you something to read and when it's wore out from everyone reading it there is still a good use for it when you're in the field and forgot your toilet paper. What about the Administrative personnel that makes sure all your paper work is correct when you want to go home? Don't forget the Personnel that processes your REPLACEMENT. "House Cats? Sure but they are as important as any of the ones you named.

79S (Career Counselor) is the most important MOS! Doubt me? Who gets to stay in and retire if they don't reenlist? No one. Without Career Counselors, there would be no retirement, just a bunch of initial termers. While the Infantry is out shooting everything, MPs are out arresting everyone, Medics are saving everyone, etc, we are out saving Soldiers lives through the reenlistment:)
Honestly, hard to list as all MOSs bring something valuable to the fight and without each working together and doing our jobs, nothing would get accomplished. Each is as important as the other. But, I stand by my statement, no one gets to retirement without seeing a Career Counselor to reenlist:)

All of them. If it were not important, the military would not have it.

What 10 are not important? I went from being a killer to a REMF and realized that if you don't have the ability to move, shoot and communicate you are nothing but a target. The entire supply chain, Intel community, medical support, etc. is needed to ensure steel on target day after day.

The top 5 combat arms at the very minimum. At least there were 5 when I went through BNCOC, trams after that. Not sure where everyone would rank. Each person will have a different order. Aviation is up near the top as well.

Technically no. 11X is an Infantry Recruit. 11B is Light Infantry...or was. 11C is Indirect fire Infantry, mortars.
