Belize? Just one question: Have you read the DOD country study? You might want to look at Uruguay. However, keeping mom happy will prevail.

There is good and bad in most of the South American Countries SFC William H. You do have an advantage when the wife speaks spanish though. We're looking at Ecuador as well. No definite decisions and it won't happen for another 6 1/2 years anyway.

I looked at Ecuador also. I have to admit that from other posts I learned your wife's name was Bella. I assumed she was Italian. While in Panama, my wife taught our gardener to speak Italian instead of Spanish. Best to you and yours.
