I maxed my c.c. promotion points by doing the Microsoft Desktop Certifications and Six Sigma certifications. I would recommend those because you get more benefits: college credits for Six Sigma and prep for the MCP and Six Sigma exams in addition to promotion points.

Great idea SPC Thundercloud.  You didn't just set her up for "board" success, but for career and personal progression as well.

SPC(P) Pounds: This is not a CC course but go to the ACS website or Google Army Family Team Building. Complete and take this to your local ACS and they can make you a Cert that is 40 hours and it goes on the ERB... Took me 3 hours to Complete lvl 1 2 3.

The Commanders Safety Course and Information Assurance Certs both got on my ERB for 4 points (not hours) each.

AFTB is not worth promotion points any more, I just went to try it and they do not use the online training for promotion points

The skillport courses are great. If you are looking through ATRRS, start with classes for your own MOS. Complete the ones available, no matter how mundane they feel. It's good sustainment for knowledge you may not encounter on a daily basis. Make sure you get the "Role of the NCO" courses in early. They are pretty good.

Once you have completed courses for your MOS, branch out into other MOS that are closely related or that you work with on a regular basis. This will give you a basic understanding of those other jobs and an idea of how they may actually integrate. Treat correspondence courses like concentric circles around your MOS. Start close and work your way out.

Sir, are the MOS related classes in ATRRS web-based courses? I'm also trying to find classes to take online to boost my points. Thanks in advance.

First, my apologies for delaying a response. I don't use social media often.

Second, there are multiple ways to take online courses for promotion.

1. ALMS can be found in the "my training" portion of AKO. Finishing an entire course will cause it to show in your ATrRS transcript. This is, of course, what we need to better our institutional knowledge.

2. Searching through ATRRS will show you some web based courses. However, you are ened in those, mostly, through the S3.

3. SmartForce is found in AKO "my training" as well. This is focused on mostly civilian skills.

4. If you like logistics stuff, search the classes through the defense logistics agency portal.

All of these will show on your ATrRS transcript for promotion.

Most importantly, do the SSD. It combines a good deal of military experience with leadership and business. You won't never here me say it's the best stuff out there, but it gives a little about a lot to stimulate curiosity and further self development.

I hope this is what you were looking for. Post again if it is not.

Sir, what do you mean in number "2 ened in those"? is this still current because my Soldiers are asking me the same questions?
