What are the Best Military Monuments that You've Seen and Share a Picture?
RP Members let's get some really good pictures of the best Military Monuments!
Here is a great one. The Above Picture is: New Mexico veterans memorial Albuquerque Vietnam War!
VETERANS TRIBUTE please take a moment when you see former or active service men or women thank them. I stand and salute all as " All gave some and some gave all. "

On the day we celebrate our freedom, here is a memorial located in Westerly, R.I. dedicated to Lieutenant-Colonel Samuel Ward who fought in the Revolutionary War. Happy 4th.

There does not appear to be many monuments to the Spanish American War. It is nice to know that the veterans are honored at Arlington. Thanks for sharing Alan.

Always thought the statue of the parachutist hanging from the bell tower of the church at Sainte-Mère-Église resonated.

The other monuments and statues shown in the various responses are indeed terrific but there are two that are particularly important to me: The USS Arizona memorial because my grandfathers cousin was Captain Franklin Van Valkenburg and captain of the Arizona that fateful day.
The other is Iron Mike located at Ft. Benning.
Mike has inspired me from my earliest days as an Infantry soldier - nearly 50 years.
I cannot look upon this monument without a feeling of immense pride in the rich history of my beloved Infantry.

Liberation is a bronze Holocaust memorial created by the sculptor Nathan Rapoport, located in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, in Hudson County, New Jersey. This is a memorial to the American liberators of the concentration camps. To me there was no greater cause in WII.

Thank You Col. Burroughs. As a backstory on the photo. This was taken during the Wreaths Across America Convoy to Arlington. The lady in brown is Luna Kaufman, a holocaust survivor. Her book "Luna's Life" describes her life an ordeal. Luna Kaufman and her mother were the only two members of their family to survive the Holocaust.
Also present that day, was an U.S. Army soldier that liberated her camp. Very likely the second time they had met. It was a powerful and emotional experience for all.

SGT Audie Blackwell Totally agree - I've walked it (5) times now. The last one in June 2016 with my father before he passed away in October 2016 - A day to remember - he was Korean Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient.

A marker pays tribute to Astronaut Judith Resnik, Crewmember of The Challenger. The marker is located in Akron, Ohio near Firestone High School which Astronaut Resnik graduated from in 1966.
