Enjoy the Trip!
I am from the heart of Europe, the little monarchy of BeNeLu. Far far away.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in D.C. -- I had some other shots but can't seem to find them. Lost a lot of my pictures but fortunately found one on my ViewBug page.

This fall we will installing a new Protestant Chaplains Monument which will carry over names of 117 chaplains KIA during WWII, with 25 names of Chaplains lost in service Korea thru Post 9-11.

Can I assume we are not just talking about ours. There are many nations that have some very moving war monuments. The one that really sticks with me was actually a Soviet one. While I was stationed in Berlin we went to East Berlin several times. There was a Monument for all the fallen Soviet soldiers from the battle of Berlin. So many that they could not be taken home to be buried. So they brought in train car loads of Russian Soil to bury them in. I don't have any pictures of it. Not sure if it is even taken care of anymore since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
